Last week in Kentucky Jon shot the Cropper family. They are part of a program at People’s Self Help Housing that is dedicated to helping low-income families purchase new homes with superior insulation and solar power. This keeps monthly bills to a minimum and reduces financial stress.

P2 got a look at the fabrication side of the solar industry last week while shooting a facility in northern California. Here, steel framework for tracking mounts is unloaded at the factory.
The Cincinnati Zoo recently celebrated the completion of their 1.56 MW solar carport. The canopy structure has 6400 panels and will provide approximately 20% of the Zoo’s energy needs along with shade for parked cars. P2 was recently in the central California town of Newman for another RC Helicopter shoot. We lucked out on the setting…an enormous almond orchard in full bloom. What we didn’t plan for was the boxes of honeybees that had been brought in to pollinate…we lost a few little soldiers to curiosity.
