Mammoth, CA. Great place to install some solar. Even greater place to shoot some solar. Sometimes waiting around for the right light is a joy. That, and the water in Mammoth is hands down the best tasting municipal water anywhere.
P2 was recently hired to travel around the southwest photographing electrical substations. One of our favorites is really a sub-substation, completely underground. Recently we found ourselves on a shoot in Phoenix. Facing a couple of free hours one morning, we drove our trusty Hertz Crown Vic into the desert to have a look around. The helicopter came too.
The Cincinnati Zoo recently celebrated the completion of their 1.56 MW solar carport. The canopy structure has 6400 panels and will provide approximately 20% of the Zoo’s energy needs along with shade for parked cars.
